Introduction to Air Quality Regulations

Emerging and evolving Title V and MACT regulations and issues will be a major focus of this course. Topics will include Title V operating permits, basic requirements of the Clean Air Act (NSR/PSD, BACT, NSPS), and EPA terminology and acronyms in air quality regulations.

Introduction to Waste Management Regulations

Environmental professionals responsible for the management of solid and hazardous wastes will learn about the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) as it applies to industrial facilities. The course covers definitions of solid and hazardous wastes, allowable ways to treat hazardous waste on-site, waste labeling and storage requirements, evaluating waste disposal facilities, and employee training.

Clean Water Act Permitting & Compliance

This course provides an overview of the Clean Water Act and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). Several NPDES permit types such as storm water, industrial wastewater, and POTW pre-treatment are covered.

Environmental Regulations (Multimedia)

This course is designed for new or experienced environmental personnel interested in developing a broader understanding of all environmental media. This course provides an introduction to the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, as they relate to industrial facilities.

SPCC and Integrated Contingency Planning

This workshop presents current SPCC requirements and addresses issues such as navigable waters, reasonable expectation, loading racks, impracticability determinations, environmental equivalence, oil-filled electrical equipment, secondary containment, performance-based requirements, and industry standards for inspections and integrity testing for practical compliance. The course covers developing SPCC plans and Integrated Contingency Plans, as well as Facility Response Planning evaluations and implications.

Introduction to Environmental Recordkeeping & Reporting

This 1½ day course provides a detailed multimedia overview of environmental reporting requirements and fundamentals. The course addresses environmental reports required during a calendar year through the implementation of practical work exercises that cover program applicability, compliance pitfalls, completion of required forms, and review of recordkeeping requirements. A discussion of best practices, or compliance techniques, is also provided.

Introduction to OSHA Regulations

This two-day workshop will instruct students on the most common OSHA Regulations. The course is designed for new and experienced OHS and SHE Managers and related staff seeking a broad understanding of OSHA requirements including Confined Space Entry, Lockout -Tag out, Industrial Hygiene, Audiometric Monitoring, Guarding, Electrical Safety, and many other requirements.
