Refineries are required to comply with a number of complex air quality regulations. Trinity’s two-day Clean Air Act Workshop for Petroleum Refining helps environmental personnel make sense of the regulations and associated requirements. Compliance Workshop for Ozone Depleting Substances

The regulations in 40 CFR Part 82 were established to protect stratospheric ozone from emissions of damaging ozone depleting substances (ODS) such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). The subparts contain a variety of requirements for the manufacture and use of these compounds as well as necessary methods for maintaining process equipment and air conditioning systems that contain them. The EPA continues to find a large number of facilities out of compliance with these regulations and has regularly issued fines as large as $5.25 Million.
