Chuck Buttry serves as Managing Director of Trinity Consultants Life Sciences SafeBridge services and is based in the Little Rock, Arkansas office. He is involved in the preparation of environmental permit applications and compliance audits, and provides strategic environmental compliance advice to industrial clients.
His recent project experience has included air quality dispersion modeling for SO2 attainment designations, environmental due diligence of existing facilities in support of mergers and acquisitions, serving as an expert witness on Clean Air Act issues, and preparation of a turn-key major NSR/PSD permit application for a large steel mill expansion.
His more than 25 years of experience span a wide range of industries including petroleum refining, lumber and wood products, steel, pulp and paper, lime manufacturing, mining and metallic minerals processing, agriculture and vegetable oil processing. He has conducted air quality projects in 15 states in EPA Regions IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX. In addition to managing projects, Chuck has also served as an instructor on state and federal air regulations for Trinity’s courses entitled Air Permitting in Arkansas and Shelby County/Tennessee Air Quality Regulations & Permitting. He has also taught Trinity’s Clean Air Act Workshop for Surface Coating/Painting Operations nationwide.
Chuck currently serves on the Board of Directors and is a Past President of the Arkansas Environmental Federation (AEF), and past Chair of the Air Quality Committee. He earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri S&T (formerly the University of Missouri-Rolla).
