Comcast Technology Center redefined what a corporate tower could be for both its users and its city. Rising above Center City Philadelphia, the building brings together workplace, media production, hospitality, wellness, innovation, and public-facing experiences in one highly connected environment. Trinity Consultants supported the project with integrated technology, audiovisual, acoustics, and security design, helping shape a building on Comcast’s headquarters campus that reflects the company’s identity as a technology leader while creating a more open, connected relationship with Philadelphia.

Vision

Comcast Technology Center was envisioned as more than a commercial office tower. It was designed as a visible expression of the company’s role in technology, media, and communications, while also contributing something meaningful to Philadelphia. The building combines expansive workspace with high-profile public areas, media environments, and shared amenities, creating a destination that feels both civic and corporate.

To support that vision, the building needed a technology backbone that could perform at a very high level across a wide range of uses. Conference rooms, collaboration spaces, studio environments, audiovisual systems, event venues, and day-to-day workplace settings all needed to function as part of one cohesive ecosystem. Trinity Consultants helped translate that ambition into standards, systems, and infrastructure that could support the building at scale while keeping the experience intuitive for users.

Partnership

This project required extensive coordination across ownership, architecture, engineering, and construction teams. Trinity Consultants worked alongside Comcast, Liberty Property Trust, Macro Consultants, Foster & Partners, Kendall/Heaton Associates, Gensler, Daroff Design Inc., Bala Consulting Engineers, and L. F. Driscoll to integrate technology, audiovisual, acoustics, and security into one of the city’s most ambitious commercial projects.

That collaboration was especially important because of the project’s range. This was not a typical office tower with repeatable floors and predictable needs. It included workplace settings, media production environments, an NBC10 studio, showcase spaces, a café, fitness center, incubator areas, and major public-facing gathering zones. Trinity Consultants helped create standards and planning frameworks that gave the broader team a clear path forward across those different conditions, supporting consistency without flattening what made each space distinct.

Services Performed

Trinity Consultants provided acoustic design, AV systems design, IT infrastructure planning, workplace and collaboration technology design, collaboration space standards development, event and showcase space technology planning, campus security master planning, and full security systems design.

Value-Add

A major contribution on the project was the development of new campus standards for conference and collaboration spaces. Using Trinity Consultants’ visioning capabilities, the team helped define how technology and audiovisual systems would be deployed across hundreds of spaces, creating a more unified and scalable experience throughout the campus. That work extended across 900,000 square feet of workspace and included 60 miles of fiber optic cabling, more than 1,100 wireless access points, and integrated systems planning for a wide variety of environments.

The project also highlights how Trinity Consultants helped create spaces that can shift quickly between very different modes of use. One of the most notable examples is the town hall and showcase floor, an amphitheater-style event space designed for transformation. With the push of a button, the room can convert in less than 60 seconds into a 10,000-square-foot DCI-compliant Dolby Atmos screening venue. That level of flexibility has allowed the space to support everything from political debates to film screenings and product introductions, giving Comcast a powerful platform for both internal and public-facing events.

Beyond workplace technology, audiovisual, and acoustics, Trinity Consultants also provided both campus security master planning and full security systems design, helping shape a broader approach to how the building functions, protects users, and supports a seamless experience. The result is a project where infrastructure does not sit quietly in the background. It actively enables the building’s identity, adaptability, and reach.

Broadcast environments only work when technology, operations, and design are aligned from the start. When AV, IT, security, and infrastructure are planned together, studios perform more reliably, teams move faster, and facilities stay flexible as production needs evolve. That early coordination is what helps projects succeed—on air and behind the scenes.
