The Residences at 1428 Brickell is a 70-story luxury residential tower rising within one of South Florida’s most vibrant urban districts. Designed by Arquitectonica, the building introduces 189 high-end residences ranging from two- to four-bedroom layouts, supported by an expansive amenity program totaling approximately 825,000 square feet. Trinity Consultants is providing acoustic consulting services to ensure the tower delivers elevated residential comfort that aligns with its architectural ambition and premier positioning within the Miami skyline.

Vision

The Residences at 1428 Brickell is designed to set a new benchmark for luxury high-rise living in Miami. With expansive residences and a substantial amenity offering distributed throughout the tower, the project emphasizes both sophistication and livability. Looking ahead, the building is positioned to provide residents with a refined urban experience that balances vibrant city energy with the quiet, private comfort expected in a premier residential address.

Partnership

In collaboration with Arquitectonica, Trinity Consultants is supporting the design of the 70-story tower by integrating acoustic considerations into residential floor assemblies, façade systems, and shared amenity areas. This coordination ensures that the architectural expression and structural systems align with performance expectations for privacy and comfort.

Services Performed

Trinity Consultants provided acoustic consulting services for the 70-story luxury residential tower, developing strategies to control sound transmission between residences and minimize noise from amenity areas. The team coordinated with the architect to integrate acoustic considerations into floor assemblies, façade systems, and shared spaces, helping ensure resident privacy, comfort, and overall acoustic performance throughout the building.

Value-Add

Trinity Consultants is developing acoustic criteria and construction recommendations to control sound transmission between adjacent residences and vertically stacked units. Particular attention is given to the integration of large-scale amenity spaces, ensuring that fitness areas, gathering spaces, and building services do not compromise residential tranquility. These strategies support long-term occupant comfort while maintaining the design integrity of this ultra-modern landmark tower.

Thanks to Trinity Consultants Built Environment’s exceptional design, the Institute of Contemporary Art’s Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater has consistently impressed both audiences and performing artists since opening in 2006. The discrete acoustical treatment above our hardwood ceiling, as well as the rippled design of the theater’s entire East wall, plays a crucial role in managing reflections and ensuring both clarity and warmth. Additionally, the team’s expert noise isolation design allows for seamless co-existence between the Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater, our lobby, and our galleries, even as significant development has transformed the surrounding Seaport District. Their expertise continues to be invaluable, and we deeply appreciate their ongoing support in maintaining the integrity of their original acoustical vision.
