Ksyen Regional Hospital is a $622.6M acute care and integrated services facility with 78 private beds, a Level 3 trauma center, and a Seven Sisters long-term care unit. Valcoustics delivered full acoustical consulting to enhance the therapeutic environment, supporting both patients and staff.

Challenge

Deliver a resilient, state-of-the-art hospital facility that expands healthcare capacity while creating a healing environment that enhances patient comfort and supports providers.

Solutions

Valcoustics provided architectural acoustics, sound isolation, noise and vibration control, environmental noise mitigation, and LEED-acoustical support. Acoustical strategies were integrated across surgical suites, neonatal care, counseling spaces, and long-term care areas to improve overall patient experience.

Services Performed

Valcoustics performed architectural acoustics, sound isolation, noise and vibration control, and environmental noise mitigation throughout the hospital and long-term care facility, supporting LEED credits and ensuring compliance with healthcare acoustical standards.

Results

The hospital opened with 78 private beds, expanded emergency and diagnostic services, and a Level 3 trauma center. Integrated acoustical solutions reduced stress, improved healing outcomes, and enhanced the patient and staff experience.
