Montreign Resort Casino, now known as Resorts World Catskills, is an 18-story casino, hotel, and entertainment complex located in New York’s Catskills region. The resort includes a casino with 61 table games and 2,150 slot machines, a 391-room luxury hotel, and multiple dining, gaming, and entertainment venues.

Trinity Consultants was engaged to provide acoustical and audiovisual consulting services across the property. The scope addressed both technical performance requirements and the integration of AV systems supporting gaming, hospitality, and live entertainment environments throughout the resort.

Vision

The project required careful management of sound and technology across a wide range of program types, including gaming floors, performance venues, hotel rooms, meeting spaces, and recreational areas. Acoustic separation, background noise control, and intelligibility were essential to maintaining comfort while allowing entertainment spaces to remain active and engaging.

Partnership

Trinity Consultants provided acoustical and audiovisual consulting services in coordination with the project team. The team confirmed acoustic design criteria for a range of spaces, including the M Centre, meeting rooms, pool area, offices, Salon Privés, and guest rooms, with attention to both room-to-room and pool-to-room noise transfer.

Services Performed

Trinity’s team delivered acoustic and audiovisual consulting services across the sprawling resort complex. Carefully managing sound and technology needs between guest comfort and entertainment venue engagement required precise planning and integration.

Value-Add

Acoustical services focused on maintaining appropriate background noise levels, ensuring effective partition performance between adjacent spaces, controlling impact noise transmission through floor slabs and finishes, and supporting speech privacy throughout the resort. Special attention was given to isolating acoustically active areas, including the pool environment, to protect adjacent guest rooms and support overall comfort.

Trinity Consultants’ audiovisual scope included AV technology design throughout the hotel, gaming areas, amenities, and entertainment venues. The team developed systems supporting guest experience functions such as reservation systems, wayfinding, digital signage, and in-room technology solutions.

Within the resort’s four primary entertainment venues, including the Empire Lounge, Sportsbook 360, Doubletop Bar and Grill, and the Epicenter performance space, acoustic treatments were designed to balance sound containment with controlled spillover. This approach allowed entertainment activity to attract guests while maintaining sound quality and clarity within each venue.
