Park Theater, now Dolby Live, is a 5,200-seat entertainment venue located on the Las Vegas Strip that underwent a $550 million transformation to support large-scale, immersive performances. Designed to host concerts, award shows, events, and conventions, the venue combines flexible seating configurations with advanced visual production systems to create an intimate audience experience at arena scale.

Trinity Consultants Built Environment provided acoustic consulting services for the project, addressing sound isolation, mechanical noise control, and interior acoustic treatments necessary to support high-performance entertainment programming.

Vision

The Park Theater transformation aimed to create an entertainment venue that could support one-of-a-kind performances while maintaining an intimate relationship between artists and patrons. Acoustic performance was critical to ensuring that advanced visual systems, nearby mechanical equipment, and back-of-house activity did not interfere with live events.

Partnership

Trinity Consultants worked with Marnell Companies and theater consultant Sceno Plus to integrate acoustic strategies into the theater’s architectural and technical design. Coordination focused on aligning acoustic performance requirements with spatial constraints, mechanical system placement, and the operational demands of a high-profile entertainment venue.

Services Performed

Trinity’s team delivered sound isolation, mechanical noise control, and interior acoustic treatments to protect performance quality and artist privacy. Partnering with the theater consultant and architect allowed the team to seamlessly integrate their strategies into the design.

Value-Add

Acoustic services included sound isolation design and mechanical systems sound and vibration control. Mechanical equipment located only a few feet from the theater posed a significant challenge, and Trinity Consultants Built Environment provided wall partition recommendations designed to attenuate equipment noise and protect the performance environment.

The team evaluated noise generated by LED walls and projection systems to ensure that fan noise would not disrupt performances. Acoustic treatments were provided throughout the main theater as well as back-of-house spaces, including star dressing rooms and conference rooms, to support speech privacy and functional separation for performers and staff.

Working with Trinity allowed us to design exactly the space we wanted, while not compromising on our needs for confidentiality and flexibility. They made the process painless and considered every little detail.
