Trinity Consultants, a nationwide environmental consulting firm focused on air quality issues, recently completed a recapitalization of the firm. The transaction provided full liquidity to the company’s founder and expanded ownership opportunities for management and employees. The recapitalization was facilitated with an equity investment by management and employee investors along with Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm. This transaction provides added financial and strategic resources to drive future growth and stability.
Going forward, John E. (Jay) Hofmann will continue to lead Trinity as President and take on the responsibilities of CEO. Hofmann joined Trinity as a consultant in 1986 and assumed day-to-day responsibilities of the firm as President and COO in 2001. Trinity’s existing management team and employees remain focused on continued operational excellence.
Trinity was founded in 1974 with one office in Dallas, Texas; today the firm has 24 offices across the U.S. and an office in China. Trinity specializes in assisting organizations with environmental regulatory obligations, namely obtaining and complying with air permits associated with industrial operations. Trinity also advises on sustainability and environmental management issues including climate change associated with greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to air quality consulting services, Trinity provides EH&S information management solutions implementation services, BREEZE® environmental modeling software, professional training in environmental issues, and EH&S staffing services.
