The CDPHE hosted a meeting to allow stakeholders to ask questions regarding the Emission Reduction Credit (ERC) program. The presentation from the recent stakeholder's meeting is found here. The program applies to any pollutant regulated under the Colorado Air Quality Control Act and in any area of Colorado, but the primary purpose is to encourage emission reductions in the ozone nonattainment area. For this reason, credits obtained for sources outside of the nonattainment area cannot be used to offset emissions in the nonattainment area. The CDPHE will be updating the FAQ section on the ERC website with more information on how to apply for and to use credits.
