The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) recently announced that it will no longer accept emission calculation date generated by TANKS 4.09d. The EPA announced it will no longer support the outdated software of TANKS 4.09d and has been warning users since 2016 to use the software at their own risk. As such, the MPCA cannot verify emissions data from the software anymore and will not accept emissions data generated from TANKS 4.09d. The existing, permitted tanks that were previously approved using data from TANKS will not be affected. As such, facilities will not be required to recalculate their current tank emissions solely due to this change.
Trinity offers multiple EPA accepted alternatives to TANKS 4.09d in the forms of Trinity's Tank Tool, Data integration/Automation (DIA) with Tank Module, TankESP, or custom solutions to meet your organization's need. More information on each of these options can be found on Trinity's Tank Services webpage.
