Matt DeCaro has a diverse background in environmental planning, wetland science, stream ecology, water quality, SEPA/NEPA compliance, and project management assisting Trinty clients with a wide range of industrial, commercial, multi-family residential, and public projects throughout Western Washington. He provides environmental permitting and regulatory compliance assistance for land use projects from their planning stages through entitlement and construction. His local expertise, diverse professional background, and positive relationships with regulatory personnel are integral components of his successful project outcomes.

Jon Pickett is a Principal and Senior Scientist with a diverse background in environmental and shoreline compliance and permitting, wetland and stream ecology, fish and wildlife biology, mitigation compliance and design, and environmental planning and land use due diligence. Jon assists Trinty’s clients with a wide range of large-scale industrial, commercial, and multi-family residential projects throughout Western Washington, providing environmental permitting and regulatory compliance assistance for land use entitlement projects from feasibility through mitigation compliance.

Jon performs wetland, stream, and shoreline delineations and fish & wildlife habitat assessments; conducts code and regulation analysis and review; prepares reports and permit applications and documents; provides environmental compliance recommendation; and provides restoration and mitigation design.

Jennifer Hushour holds an M.Sc. in Archaeological Sciences from the University of Bradford and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona. She has more than 20 years of experience in archaeological fieldwork and research. She is a Registered Professional Archaeologist and has managed more than 250 cultural resources compliance projects in the Pacific Northwest. Before joining WestLand, she managed projects for clients including the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Washington State Parks, Puget Sound Energy, the U.S. Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management. At WestLand, Ms. Hushour has led cultural resources compliance for federally and state-funded broadband projects for the Northwest Open Access Network. She now serves as Director of Cultural Resources (West) for Trinity Consultants and is based in Mukilteo, WA. She also serves as District 5 Commissioner on the Snohomish County Historic Preservation Commission. Her focus is Section 106 and state and local cultural resources compliance, with an emphasis on coordination with clients, Tribes, and agencies

David Cerasale holds a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Cornell University, an M.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana, and a B.S. in Biology from the College of William and Mary. He has more than 20 years of experience in environmental permitting and natural resources research and management. At WestLand, Dr. Cerasale served as Senior Vice President and Pacific Northwest Area Lead. In that role, he managed large, complex permitting processes for clients across the West. During his tenure, he has supported some of the largest metal mining projects in the United States, including Hermosa, Rosemont Copper, and Resolution Copper. He also leads an independent research team for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service on a species petitioned for listing under the Endangered Species Act.

He now serves as a Discipline Services Lead for Trinity Consultants and is based in Portland, OR. His focus is strategic federal, state, and local permitting, with an emphasis on the hard rock mining and aggregate and construction materials industries.

Paul Tremel holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. He has more than 35 years of experience in consulting engineering. He holds engineering registrations in Arizona and Nevada. Before joining WestLand, he served as a structural engineer and quality control reviewer on transportation and water projects across Arizona. During that time, he worked for clients including the Arizona Department of Transportation, Pima County, the Town of Gilbert, and the Gila River Indian Community.

At WestLand, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Consulting Services and led the firm’s consulting operations and enterprise risk management. Mr. Tremel is now Managing Director, US Water and Ecology, for Trinity Consultants and is based in Phoenix, AZ. His focus is project delivery and quality management, with an emphasis on reducing project risk.

Brian Lindenlaub holds a B.S. in Geological Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has more than 25 years of experience in environmental consulting. He began his career in 1994 providing environmental permitting and compliance services. Since 1997, his work has centered on the Clean Water Act, with an emphasis on the Section 404 permit program. At WestLand, Mr. Lindenlaub has managed Section 404 permitting efforts across the Southwest, including alternatives analyses, agency consultations, and compensatory mitigation. During his tenure, he has led mine plan of operations development for major mining projects, including Rosemont Copper and Resolution Copper. He has also provided expert testimony before the Arizona Corporation Commission Line Siting Committee for solar energy projects. He now serves as a Senior Principal Consultant for Trinity Consultants and is based in Tucson, AZ. His focus is environmental permitting and compliance, with an emphasis on Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting and NEPA support.
