The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has made some updates to the Emissions Inventory Reporting for RY 2023. Key changes include:
- Certifying Officials:
- New and existing Title V Sites: Responsible Official or the Duly Authorized Representative.
- Non-Title V Sites: Legally responsible company official
- Addition of three sources for reporting: pneumatics, malfunctioning scrubber dump valves, and malfunctioning or open thief hatches on tanks with vapor recovery units.
- El Paso County non-attainment status was reversed in 2023, but the TCEQ has included El Paso County in the TCEQ special inventory requestion for stationary sources that emit ozone precursors.
TCEQ is beginning to transition the air-fees reporting system to STEERS. The fee forms for FY2025 will still be sent out via email, but some select sites may be asked to volunteer to test the program in STEERS.
