Reporting Year 2026 is a triennial emissions inventory year in Utah, which means a broader group of facilities will be required to report actual emissions to the Utah Division of Air Quality (UDAQ). Triennial inventories are due April 15, 2027. Although the deadline is several months away, facilities should consider beginning preparations now. Developing an accurate inventory may require gathering operating and production data, updating emissions calculations and engineering estimates, and confirming that equipment and emissions information are current before entering the information into UDAQ’s State & Local Emissions Inventory System (SLEIS).
Triennial reporting can also be an opportunity to take a closer look at how emissions are being calculated and represented to UDAQ. Starting early gives facilities time to identify missing information, review calculation methodologies, and address questions before the April deadline rather than during the final weeks of reporting.
Join Trinity on December 9 for our complimentary Utah Triennial Emissions Inventory webinar. We’ll review the fundamentals of Utah’s triennial EI program, including who reports and what is included, UDAQ submittal tips and common pitfalls, regulatory updates, and key considerations for the 2027 reporting cycle.
